Paravision has partnered with Hailo to integrate its advanced facial recognition technology into dedicated devices such as the Hailo-8 AI accelerator and the Hailo-15 series AI vision processors.
With Paravision’s comprehensive suite of facial recognition products, developers can create and implement biometric and authentication solutions for a variety of edge applications.
The collaboration between the two companies aims to leverage their respective strengths to provide cost-effective solutions for edge devices that enable real-time accurate facial recognition.
This integration enables Hailo customers to take advantage of Paravision’s facial recognition accuracy and the power efficiency of the devices running these applications without having to send data back to a centralized cloud server.
“Hailo’s processors have been designed from the ground up to bring the latest visual artificial intelligence to low-power edge environments, creating new opportunities and use cases for our partners,” said Yaniv Iarovici, vice president of Business development at Hailo.
The collaboration has received positive feedback from industry partners. Vicon Industries has reported improved results for fast identification and high precision while prioritizing customer data privacy.
Paravision offers a range of deployment options for its facial recognition technology, including SDKS, Docker-based containers, and mobile vision AI. According to the company, its technology earned the highest ranking in the NIST FRTE benchmark, demonstrating accuracy in both 1:1 verification and 1:N recognition.
“We are excited to optimize Paravision facial recognition for Hailo processors and offer a unique combination of these two technology innovators,” Iarovici added.
Hailo recently raised $120 million in Series C funding. These funds will accelerate research and development of advanced biometrics for smart cameras and expand market reach.
